Hello and a warm welcome on Board of Fly me to the top

My name is Dr. Frank Liemandt and this is my talk for people and business in aviation.

Tell me, how it works!

How do you actually become successful, make it to the (very) top, and what can you do up there above the clouds? In Fly Me to the Top, I am sitting in a virtual cockpit with my guests and ask them about their recipes for success, their experiences, and sometimes also about the lucky coincidences that brought them up there – to the top.

Who am I flying with?

This is less about DAX board members and more about the proverbial unsung heroes who may not be widely known, but who have a lot to share.

Of course, I also want to know what my guests are currently working on and where their journey might take them in the future. Educational, exciting, surprising – and hopefully entertaining as well.

Who or what am I?

I am Frank - with or without „Dr.“ - and I have been working in the aviation industry foralmost 30 years. I’m not a pilot myself, but a humanities graduate who entered the field as a career changer. From press spokesperson for helicopters, B2B sales manager for aircraft components, sales director for fighter jets, to managing director of the German Helicopter Association, as well as co-founder and trade show director of EUROPEANROTORS, I have gained experience in many areas of aviation.

For the past twelve years, I have been running my own consulting business and am now very much looking forward to my latest project, “Fly Me to the Top".

Outside of work, I especially love my wonderful wife and my two children, all of whom are successful in creative professions. Tennis and basketball help ensure that my otherhobby – cooking – doesn’t leave too many traces on my waistline
